Curative Members May Access Mobile IV Therapy

Learn How Coverage and At-Home Care WorkUploaded Image

Curative members may have access to more than traditional clinic-based healthcare. IVTherapy2go® accepts Curative insurance for applicable services and provides select mobile IV therapies to qualifying patients when treatment is medically appropriate.

Depending on your location, requested service, clinical eligibility, and individual health-plan benefits, professional care may be available at an appropriate home, hotel, or office.

Visit the IVTherapy2go Curative insurance page to review current information before requesting an appointment.

Does IVTherapy2go Accept Curative?

Yes. IVTherapy2go accepts Curative insurance for applicable mobile IV services. However, accepting Curative does not guarantee that every IV treatment will be covered or paid in full.

A service may be insurance-eligible when:

  • Your Curative coverage is active.

  • IVTherapy2go and the treating provider meet your network requirements.

  • The requested treatment is included in your benefits.

  • The treatment is considered medically appropriate.

  • Required clinical documentation is available.

  • Any referral or authorization requirements have been completed.

Your deductible, copay, coinsurance, exclusions, and other plan requirements can affect what you owe.

Which IV Therapies May Be Insurance-Eligible?

IVTherapy2go currently identifies several IV therapies for which insurance coverage may be available when clinically appropriate and approved under the patient’s plan.

These include:

  • HydraBoost 500

  • HydraBoost 1000

  • Hangover Haven

  • MigraineMelt

  • Nausea Nix

  • Tummy Tonic

  • Clindamycin

  • Lasix

  • Ceftriaxone

Each treatment has different purposes and eligibility requirements. A healthcare professional must evaluate your symptoms, health history, medications, allergies, and current condition before determining whether an IV treatment is appropriate.

The presence of a treatment on the insurance page does not guarantee Curative will cover it for every member.

Is Iron Infusion Covered by Curative?

IVTherapy2go currently identifies its iron-infusion service as self-pay rather than insurance-covered through this service.

Although IVTherapy2go accepts Curative for applicable treatments, that does not mean every service it offers can be billed to Curative. Confirm the payment requirements for the specific treatment before scheduling.

Does Curative Cover IV Hydration?

IVTherapy2go identifies HydraBoost 500 and HydraBoost 1000 as insurance-eligible hydration treatments. Coverage may be available when hydration therapy is medically appropriate and the patient’s individual plan requirements are satisfied.

This does not mean every Curative member automatically qualifies for covered hydration. Your plan and clinical circumstances determine whether the service can be covered.

Mild dehydration can often be addressed with oral fluids when a person can drink safely. IV hydration is not automatically necessary or better for every situation. A healthcare professional should help determine the appropriate level of care.

Insurance Eligibility and Medical Eligibility Are Different

Two questions must be answered before treatment:

  1. Is the requested service eligible under your Curative benefits?

  2. Is the treatment medically appropriate for your condition?

Insurance determines how a qualifying service may be processed and paid. A healthcare professional determines whether that treatment is safe and appropriate for you.

A covered benefit does not replace a clinical evaluation, and medical eligibility does not guarantee insurance payment.

What May Be Included in an Eligible Visit?

According to IVTherapy2go’s current insurance information, an applicable insurance-covered mobile IV visit may include:

  • A paramedic, LVN, or RN house call

  • A telemedicine physician consultation

  • The approved insurance-eligible IV treatment

  • Monitoring during administration

  • Relevant aftercare instructions

The exact visit depends on the treatment, clinical findings, applicable medical orders, and insurance requirements.

How Does Mobile IV Therapy Work?

Mobile care changes where an appointment occurs, but it does not remove the professional standards involved in providing treatment.

The process may include:

  1. Request an appointment. Provide your symptoms, requested service, contact information, and treatment address.

  2. Submit your insurance information. Have your current Curative member card available.

  3. Confirm your appointment. An IVTherapy2go team member may contact you to review the appointment details.

  4. Complete the required evaluation. A healthcare professional reviews your symptoms, history, medications, allergies, and treatment eligibility.

  5. Receive approved mobile care. A medical professional travels to your confirmed location when the treatment is appropriate and available.

  6. Follow your care instructions. The healthcare professional may recommend symptom monitoring, laboratory testing, medication follow-up, or another level of care.

If the evaluation indicates that the requested treatment is not appropriate, the IV may not be administered.

Where Can Mobile IV Care Take Place?

Eligible patients may be able to receive care at an appropriate:

  • Home

  • Hotel

  • Vacation rental

  • Private office

  • Workplace

  • Other approved location

The treatment space should be private, clean, well-lit, and large enough for the healthcare professional and necessary supplies.

If you have pets, secure them in another area before the healthcare professional arrives. Keep your phone nearby and remain at the confirmed location throughout your scheduled arrival window.

Where Does IVTherapy2go Provide Care?

IVTherapy2go focuses its mobile services in the:

  • Dallas–Fort Worth area

  • Austin area

  • San Antonio area

Availability may also include Arlington, Farmers Branch, Brownwood, Houston, El Paso, and surrounding Texas communities.

Service availability depends on the exact address, requested treatment, clinician availability, and medical eligibility. Confirm your location before scheduling.

What Should You Have Ready?

Prepare the following information before your appointment:

  • Your current Curative insurance card

  • A government-issued photo ID

  • Your medication and supplement list

  • Your medication and food allergies

  • Information about current medical conditions

  • A description of your symptoms

  • The date your symptoms began

  • Recent laboratory results when applicable

  • Relevant provider orders or treatment documentation

  • Referral or prior-authorization information

  • Your primary provider’s contact information

Tell the healthcare professional about any previous reactions to IV fluids, antibiotics, vitamins, injectable medications, adhesives, or other treatments.

How Can You Confirm Curative Coverage?

Curative provides an online provider search and member coverage resources. Members can also contact Curative member services for help confirming network participation and benefits.

Before requesting treatment, ask Curative:

  • Is IVTherapy2go in my network?

  • Is the treating healthcare professional in network?

  • Is mobile IV therapy included in my benefits?

  • Is the exact requested treatment covered?

  • Does the service require medical-necessity documentation?

  • Is prior authorization required?

  • Do I need a referral?

  • Does my deductible apply?

  • Will I owe a copay or coinsurance?

  • Are medications and IV supplies included?

  • Are laboratory tests billed separately?

  • Are there limits on the number of visits?

Write down the representative’s name, the date of the call, and your reference number.

Curative states that its network arrangements changed beginning January 1, 2026, making it especially important to verify the current network for your exact plan.

Could You Still Have a Patient Balance?

Yes. Accepting Curative does not mean every member will have the same cost.

You may be responsible for:

  • A copay

  • Coinsurance

  • An unmet deductible

  • Noncovered treatments

  • Excluded ingredients or medications

  • Laboratory charges

  • Services that do not meet medical-necessity requirements

  • Care received without required authorization

  • Amounts determined after Curative processes the claim

Some Curative plans advertise low or zero costs for qualifying in-network care after specific plan requirements are completed. Do not assume these terms apply to your plan or requested treatment without confirming them directly with Curative.

Are Laboratory Tests Included?

Laboratory work is generally separate from the mobile IV appointment. Testing may be recommended when additional information is needed to identify the cause of your symptoms or determine whether treatment is appropriate.

Before completing testing, confirm:

  • The laboratory is in your Curative network.

  • The requested test is covered.

  • An order or authorization is not required.

  • Your deductible or coinsurance applies.

  • The laboratory will submit a separate claim.

Coverage for a mobile appointment does not automatically include every test, medication, or outside service.

When Should You Seek Emergency Care?

Mobile IV therapy is not appropriate for life-threatening symptoms. Call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department for:

  • Chest pain

  • Severe difficulty breathing

  • Signs of a stroke

  • Loss of consciousness

  • A severe allergic reaction

  • Uncontrolled bleeding

  • Severe confusion

  • A serious injury

  • Persistent vomiting with fainting or severe weakness

  • Rapidly worsening symptoms

A healthcare professional may direct you to in-person or emergency care when your condition requires testing, imaging, continuous monitoring, or treatment that cannot be provided safely through a mobile appointment.
