IE Smart Systems Mobile IV Care
Three EHN Plans with IVTherapy2go™
When illness or dehydration makes traveling difficult, receiving appropriate medical care at home may help the day feel more manageable. IVTherapy2go™ provides mobile IV care for eligible patients at home or another approved Texas location.
IE Smart Systems LLC employees may be enrolled in the Base Copay Plan, Buy Up Copay Plan, or HSA Plan. Each plan uses the EHN Preferred Network, but member costs and coverage requirements may differ.
Insurance coverage for IV treatment generally depends on medical necessity, the patient’s diagnosis, provider participation, prior-authorization requirements, and the terms of the member’s specific plan.
What IE Smart Systems Medical Plans Are Available?
IE Smart Systems employees may be enrolled in one of three medical plans:
-
Base Copay Plan
-
Buy Up Copay Plan
-
HSA Plan
The available plan information lists the following costs:
Base Copay Plan
-
Primary care visit: $35 copay
-
Specialist visit: $70 copay
Buy Up Copay Plan
-
Primary care visit: $35 copay
-
Specialist visit: $70 copay
HSA Plan
Members must first meet the applicable deductible. Medical cost-sharing information is available on the member’s insurance card.
These amounts may not automatically apply to mobile IV treatment. Deductibles, coinsurance, medical-necessity guidelines, medications, supplies, administration services, and plan exclusions may affect the member’s final cost.
An insurance card does not guarantee coverage or payment.
For scheduling assistance, call IVTherapy2go at (817) 508-8169.
Can IE Smart Systems Employees Use IVTherapy2go?
Eligible IE Smart Systems employees and their covered family members may request care through IVTherapy2go.
Before an appointment is confirmed, the clinical team may review:
-
The patient’s symptoms
-
Relevant medical conditions
-
Current medications
-
Medication or food allergies
-
The requested treatment
-
The patient’s location
-
Insurance and benefit information
A licensed medical professional must determine whether mobile IV treatment is appropriate. Depending on the patient’s condition, the clinical team may recommend an urgent care center, emergency department, primary care provider, or another healthcare facility.
Call 911 or visit the nearest emergency room for chest pain, severe breathing difficulty, signs of a stroke, fainting, confusion, severe weakness, uncontrolled bleeding, major trauma, or another life-threatening emergency.
Does Insurance Cover Mobile IV Therapy?
Insurance may cover mobile IV therapy when the treatment is medically necessary and included under the member’s plan benefits.
Coverage may depend on:
-
The patient’s diagnosis and symptoms
-
Medical necessity
-
Provider-network participation
-
The medication or treatment ordered
-
Prior-authorization requirements
-
The place where treatment is provided
-
Applicable copays, deductibles, or coinsurance
-
Plan exclusions and limitations
Elective hydration, vitamin infusions, wellness infusions, and treatments requested for general energy or lifestyle purposes may not be covered. These services may require self-payment even when the patient has active medical insurance.
Final coverage is determined when the administrator reviews and processes the claim.

How Do I Verify My IV Therapy Benefits?
Before scheduling mobile IV treatment, contact Anchor Benefit Consulting at (888) 487-1807 and ask:
-
Does IVTherapy2go participate with my IE Smart Systems plan?
-
Is mobile IV therapy a covered benefit?
-
Is the requested treatment considered medically necessary?
-
What copay, deductible, or coinsurance applies?
-
Are medications, supplies, and administration billed separately?
-
Is prior authorization required?
-
Are elective hydration or wellness infusions excluded?
-
Will I have a time-of-service responsibility?
-
Are there service-area or network restrictions?
Write down the representative’s name, the date of the call, and the reference number. Benefit verification is an estimate based on the information available at that time and does not guarantee claim payment.
IVTherapy2go can collect your insurance information and help prepare for the visit, but Anchor Benefit Consulting provides the official explanation of plan benefits.
Is Prior Authorization Required?
Prior-authorization requirements depend on the treatment, medication, diagnosis, and place of service.
Members and providers should contact Anchor Benefit Consulting at (888) 487-1807 before receiving a service that may require approval.
Receiving treatment without required authorization may result in reduced benefits or a denied claim. Prior authorization does not guarantee payment because eligibility, medical necessity, network participation, and other plan requirements still apply.
What Network Does the Plan Use?
The IE Smart Systems medical plans use the EHN Preferred Network. This network includes Baylor Scott & White Quality Alliance providers who have chosen to participate.
Not every Baylor Scott & White Quality Alliance provider participates in the EHN Preferred Network. Members should confirm that IVTherapy2go and the treating provider participate with their specific IE Smart Systems plan before receiving treatment.
To locate or verify an in-network provider:
-
Visit the HST Provider Search
-
Call (800) 440-7427
-
Contact BSWQA Care Navigation at 1-844-279-7589
Provide the employer name, plan name, member identification number, requested treatment, and service location when confirming participation.
Are Specialist Referrals Required?
The available IE Smart Systems plan information does not list a general specialist-referral requirement.
However, IV treatment may still require a medical order, clinical evaluation, documentation of medical necessity, or prior authorization. Contact Anchor Benefit Consulting before treatment to confirm the requirements for your plan.
What If My IV Treatment Is Not Covered?
The patient may be responsible for the cost when the requested IV treatment is:
-
Excluded by the plan
-
Considered elective or wellness-related
-
Not medically necessary
-
Provided outside the applicable network
-
Received without required prior authorization
-
Subject to an unmet deductible
-
Not otherwise included under the member’s benefits
Before treatment, request available self-pay pricing and an estimate of anticipated charges. The final amount may change if the clinical assessment shows that additional medications, supplies, or services are needed.
