MaintenX Employees Explore Mobile IV Care

PPO Plan Benefits with IVTherapy2go™Uploaded Image

When a medical professional recommends IV treatment, receiving care at an approved home, workplace, or other Texas location may make the experience more comfortable. IVTherapy2go™ provides mobile IV services when treatment is medically appropriate and safely ordered for the patient.

MaintenX employees may be enrolled in the PPO Plan administered by CornerStone Preferred Resources. The available plan information lists a $25 primary care copay and a $50 specialist copay. These office-visit copays do not confirm coverage for mobile IV therapy. Benefits, medical necessity, network participation, and authorization requirements must be verified before treatment.

What Does the MaintenX PPO Plan Include?

The available MaintenX PPO Plan information lists:

  • Primary care visit: $25 copay

  • Specialist visit: $50 copay

IV therapy may be processed under a different benefit category. The member’s cost may depend on the reason for treatment, prescribed medication or fluids, medical supplies, administration services, service location, and authorization requirements.

An insurance card does not guarantee coverage or payment. Members should not assume the listed primary care or specialist copay applies to mobile IV therapy.

For scheduling and service questions, call IVTherapy2go at (817) 508-8169.

Can MaintenX Employees Use IVTherapy2go?

Eligible MaintenX employees and their covered family members may be able to receive mobile IV services when ordered by an authorized medical professional and supported by medical necessity.

Depending on the patient’s needs, provider orders, and plan coverage, services may include:

  • IV hydration ordered for a medical concern

  • Prescribed IV medications

  • Certain medically necessary infusions

  • Treatment monitoring

  • Follow-up care related to an ordered infusion

  • Coordination with the ordering medical professional

The patient must be evaluated to determine whether mobile IV care is safe and appropriate. Some medications, conditions, or symptoms may require treatment in a clinic, infusion center, hospital, or emergency room.

Call 911 or visit the nearest emergency room for chest pain, severe breathing difficulty, signs of a stroke, fainting, confusion, severe dehydration, uncontrolled bleeding, a serious allergic reaction, or another life-threatening emergency.

Who Administers the MaintenX Plan?

CornerStone Preferred Resources, also known as CPR, is the third-party administrator listed for the MaintenX PPO Plan.

CornerStone Preferred Resources can assist members and providers with:

  • Eligibility verification

  • IV and infusion benefit questions

  • Copay and cost-sharing information

  • Provider-network participation

  • Prior-authorization requirements

  • Medical-necessity requirements

  • Claim-status questions

For plan and benefit questions:

Have the member identification number from your MaintenX insurance card and information about the requested treatment available when contacting the plan.

How Do I Verify My IV Therapy Benefits?

Before scheduling treatment, call (800) 278-0703 and ask:

  • Does IVTherapy2go participate with my MaintenX PPO Plan?

  • Is mobile IV therapy covered for my diagnosis?

  • Is the prescribed medication or infusion covered?

  • Must I use a designated infusion provider or location?

  • Is prior authorization required?

  • Is a provider order or referral required?

  • Are medications, fluids, supplies, and administration billed separately?

  • What copay, deductible, or coinsurance applies?

  • Will I have a time-of-service responsibility?

Provide the name of the prescribed medication or fluid, diagnosis, ordering provider, requested service location, and any relevant procedure or medication codes if available.

Write down the representative’s name, the date of the call, and the reference number provided. Final coverage is determined when the plan administrator processes the claim.

IVTherapy2go can collect your insurance information and treatment order, but the plan administrator provides the official explanation of your benefits.

Is Prior Authorization Required?

Prior authorization may be required for IV medications, infusion therapy, or related services.

For prior-authorization assistance:

The ordering or treating provider may need to submit:

  • The patient’s diagnosis

  • A signed treatment order

  • Clinical notes supporting medical necessity

  • Recent laboratory results

  • Medication and dosage information

  • Previous treatments and the patient’s response

  • The requested treatment schedule

  • The proposed service location

Prior authorization does not guarantee claim payment. Current eligibility, medical necessity, network participation, plan exclusions, and the services provided may affect how the claim is processed.

What Network Does the Plan Use?

The MaintenX PPO Plan uses the EHN Preferred Network. This network includes Baylor Scott & White Quality Alliance providers who have elected to participate.

Not every Baylor Scott & White Quality Alliance provider, infusion provider, or mobile medical service participates in the EHN Preferred Network. Members should confirm that IVTherapy2go, the treating medical professional, and any medication supplier participate before receiving care.

To locate or verify an in-network provider:

Provide the employer name, PPO Plan name, member identification number, prescribed treatment, and requested service location when confirming participation.

Are Referrals Required?

The available MaintenX plan information does not list a general specialist-referral requirement.

An order, referral, or prior authorization may still be required for IV therapy depending on the medication, diagnosis, and type of treatment. Without a required order or authorization, the member may be responsible for the cost of care.

Contact the plan administrator before treatment to confirm the current requirements.

How Should I Prepare for Mobile IV Care?

Before your appointment, prepare:

  • Your MaintenX insurance card

  • A photo identification card

  • The signed IV therapy or infusion order

  • Prior-authorization information

  • Your benefit-verification reference number

  • A current medication list

  • Known medication or food allergies

  • Relevant medical records

  • Recent laboratory results

  • Your diagnosis and treatment history
