News Corp Employees Access Mobile IV Therapy

Centivo Partnership Plan with IVTherapy2go™ Across TexasUploaded Image

When you need IV therapy, traveling to another location may not be the most comfortable choice. IVTherapy2go™ brings eligible IV services to patients at home, work, a hotel, or another approved Texas location.

News Corp employees may be enrolled in the Centivo Partnership Plan. The plan uses the BSW Premier Network and includes specific referral and authorization requirements. Coverage for IV therapy depends on the member’s benefits, medical necessity, network participation, and the type of infusion requested.

What News Corp Medical Plan Is Available?

The available News Corp plan information lists the Centivo Partnership Plan.

General office-visit costs include:

  • Primary care visit: $0 copay

  • Specialist visit: $30 copay

These amounts may not apply to mobile IV therapy. The medical evaluation, IV fluids, vitamins, medications, supplies, laboratory testing, and mobile service may be processed separately.

An insurance card does not guarantee coverage or payment. Your final responsibility may depend on eligibility, medical necessity, network participation, referral requirements, prior authorization, plan exclusions, and the services provided.

For scheduling assistance, call IVTherapy2go at (817) 508-8169.

Can News Corp Employees Use IVTherapy2go?

Eligible News Corp employees and their covered family members may request mobile IV therapy when the service is medically appropriate.

Depending on the patient’s needs and the medical professional’s evaluation, services may include:

  • IV fluid administration

  • Hydration support

  • Provider-directed vitamin infusions

  • Certain medically appropriate medications

  • Support following illness

  • Mobile medical evaluation before treatment

  • Monitoring during the infusion

  • Recommendations for follow-up care

Every patient must be medically evaluated before receiving an infusion. IV therapy may not be appropriate for everyone, and a requested infusion is not guaranteed.

Wellness or convenience-based infusions may be excluded from insurance coverage, even when a plan covers medically necessary IV treatment. Confirm your benefits with Centivo before requesting service.

Call 911 or visit the nearest emergency room for chest pain, severe breathing difficulty, signs of a stroke, fainting, confusion, severe dehydration, uncontrolled bleeding, or another life-threatening emergency.

How Do I Verify My IV Therapy Benefits?

Before scheduling a mobile IV appointment, contact Centivo at (800) 584-0568 and ask:

  • Does IVTherapy2go participate with the News Corp Centivo Partnership Plan?

  • Is mobile IV therapy covered by my plan?

  • Does coverage require a documented medical condition?

  • Are wellness or vitamin infusions excluded?

  • What copay, deductible, or coinsurance applies?

  • Are IV fluids, medications, vitamins, and supplies processed separately?

  • Is the mobile service or travel component covered?

  • Is prior authorization required?

  • Is a provider order or referral required?

  • Will I have a time-of-service responsibility?

Write down the representative’s name, the date of the call, and the reference number provided.

IVTherapy2go can collect your insurance information before the appointment, but Centivo provides the official explanation of plan benefits. Final coverage is determined when the claim is processed.

Is Prior Authorization Required?

Prior authorization depends on the infusion, medication, diagnosis, and requirements of the member’s plan.

Members and providers should contact Centivo at (800) 584-0568 before receiving a service that may require approval. Providers may also use the Centivo Provider Portal to verify benefits, review authorization requirements, and check claim status.

Prior authorization does not guarantee claim payment. Current eligibility, medical necessity, network participation, plan exclusions, referral requirements, and other plan rules may affect how the claim is processed.

What Network Does the Plan Use?

The News Corp Centivo Partnership Plan uses the BSW Premier Network. This network includes participating Baylor Scott & White Quality Alliance providers.

Not every healthcare professional or mobile service participates in the BSW Premier Network. Members should confirm that IVTherapy2go and the treating medical professional participate with the Centivo Partnership Plan before receiving care.

To locate or verify an in-network provider:

Provide the employer name, member identification number, requested infusion, and service location when confirming network participation.

Are Referrals Required for IV Therapy?

The News Corp Centivo Partnership Plan requires a provider referral before beginning new specialty care.

Referral exceptions include:

  • OB/GYN care

  • Behavioral health services

  • Chiropractic care

  • Rehabilitation services

  • Laboratory testing

  • X-rays

  • Occupational therapy

  • Physical therapy

  • Speech therapy

IV therapy is not specifically listed as a referral exception. A provider’s order, supporting medical records, laboratory results, referral, or prior authorization may be required for certain IV fluids, medications, or infusions.

Without a required referral, the member may be responsible for the full cost of care. Providers can submit referrals through the Centivo Referral Portal.

How Should I Prepare for Mobile IV Therapy?

Before your appointment, prepare:

  • Your News Corp Centivo insurance card

  • A photo identification card

  • A current medication and supplement list

  • Known medication, food, or adhesive allergies

  • Relevant medical records

  • Recent laboratory results, if available

  • Any provider order, referral, or authorization documents

  • Your medical history and current symptoms

  • Your preferred pharmacy information

  • Your benefit-verification reference number

Choose a safe, clean, and comfortable area where the medical professional can complete the evaluation and monitor the infusion. Secure pets before the medical team arrives.

Tell the medical professional if you have heart disease, kidney disease, uncontrolled blood pressure, fluid restrictions, pregnancy, medication sensitivities, or a history of complications with IV therapy.
