Pyramid Global Hospitality Employees Explore Mobile IV Therapy

Insurance Guidance with IVTherapy2go™ Across Texas LocationsUploaded Image

When your medical professional recommends infusion therapy, traveling to a facility and waiting for treatment can add stress to your day. IVTherapy2go™ brings eligible infusion services to a patient’s Texas home, workplace, hotel, or another approved location.

Pyramid Global Hospitality employees and their covered family members may be able to use their employer-sponsored medical benefits for certain medically necessary infusion services. Coverage, network participation, authorization requirements, and member costs should be verified before treatment.

What Medical Plans Are Available?

A previously published Pyramid Global Hospitality benefit guide listed UHC Navigate, UHC Navigate Saver, Surest Choice, and Surest Care plans. Medical benefits can change between plan years, locations, and employee groups, so members should use their current insurance card and 2026 benefit documents when verifying coverage.

Review your current insurance card for:

  • Medical plan name

  • Member and group identification numbers

  • Infusion therapy benefits

  • Deductible and coinsurance

  • Provider network

  • Member-services information

  • Prior-authorization requirements

  • Referral or prescription requirements

  • Specialty medication coverage

Medication, nursing services, medical supplies, laboratory testing, and additional services may be processed separately.

An insurance card does not guarantee coverage or payment. Your final responsibility may depend on eligibility, medical necessity, network participation, authorization, deductible status, the prescribed medication, treatment location, and the services provided.

For assistance, call IVTherapy2go at (817) 508-8169.

Can Pyramid Global Hospitality Employees Use IVTherapy2go?

Eligible Pyramid Global Hospitality employees and their covered family members may be able to receive certain mobile infusion services through IVTherapy2go.

Insurance coverage is more likely to apply when infusion therapy is medically necessary and ordered by a qualified medical professional. Depending on the patient’s condition and treatment plan, services may include:

  • Prescribed hydration therapy

  • Iron infusions

  • Certain vitamin or nutrient infusions

  • Medication infusions

  • Infusion services ordered as part of ongoing medical care

Eligibility for mobile treatment depends on the patient’s medical needs, prescription or order, current insurance coverage, provider-network participation, requested medication, and service location.

Some patients may need treatment in a clinic, hospital, infusion center, or emergency department. The medical team will determine whether mobile infusion therapy is appropriate and safe.

Call 911 or visit the nearest emergency room for chest pain, severe breathing difficulty, signs of a stroke, fainting, confusion, a severe allergic reaction, uncontrolled bleeding, or another life-threatening emergency.

Are Wellness IV Infusions Covered?

Elective wellness, convenience, hydration, or vitamin infusions are often excluded from insurance coverage. These services may be considered self-pay when they are not medically necessary or are not included in the member’s plan.

Before scheduling, ask the plan administrator:

  • Is the prescribed infusion covered?

  • Is the medication covered under the medical or pharmacy benefit?

  • Does the service meet the plan’s medical-necessity guidelines?

  • Is mobile or home-based infusion therapy covered?

  • Is prior authorization required?

  • Is a physician’s order or referral required?

  • Are wellness or convenience infusions excluded?

  • What amount will I be responsible for?

Do not assume that an infusion is covered because you have active medical insurance.

Who Administers the Health Plan?

The current administrator or insurance carrier should be listed on the front or back of the Pyramid Global Hospitality insurance card.

Depending on the plan, members may have UnitedHealthcare, Surest, or another administrator. Current information should always be confirmed using the insurance card rather than an older benefit guide.

The administrator can assist members and providers with:

  • Eligibility verification

  • Infusion benefit questions

  • Medical-necessity requirements

  • Medication coverage

  • Copays, deductibles, and coinsurance

  • Prior-authorization requirements

  • Provider-network participation

  • Claim-status questions

  • Claims-submission information

Have your insurance card, member identification number, group number, employer name, prescribed medication, requested treatment location, and ordering provider’s information available when calling.

How Do I Verify My Infusion Benefits?

Before scheduling treatment, contact the member-services number on your current insurance card and ask:

  • Does IVTherapy2go participate with my specific Pyramid Global Hospitality plan?

  • Is mobile infusion therapy covered?

  • Is the prescribed medication covered?

  • Is the medication processed through my medical or pharmacy benefit?

  • What copay, deductible, or coinsurance applies?

  • Are nursing services and medical supplies billed separately?

  • Is prior authorization required?

  • Is a prescription or referral required?

  • Are there site-of-care or service-area restrictions?

  • Will I have a time-of-service responsibility?

Write down the representative’s name, the date of the call, and the reference number provided.

IVTherapy2go can collect your insurance information and supporting medical documents, but the plan administrator provides the official explanation of benefits. Final coverage is determined when the claim is processed.

Is Prior Authorization Required?

Many infusion medications and services require prior authorization. The ordering provider may need to submit medical records showing why the treatment is medically necessary.

Authorization requests may require:

  • A signed prescription or treatment order

  • Diagnosis information

  • Relevant laboratory results

  • Previous treatment history

  • Medication name and dosage

  • Planned treatment frequency and duration

  • The requested treatment location

  • Clinical notes supporting medical necessity

Prior authorization does not guarantee claim payment. Current eligibility, medical necessity, provider-network participation, plan exclusions, site-of-care rules, and other requirements may affect how the claim is processed.

How Do I Confirm Network Participation?

Provider networks may differ between Pyramid Global Hospitality plans and employee locations. Before receiving treatment, confirm that IVTherapy2go, the treating medical professional, and any specialty pharmacy participate with your exact plan.

To verify participation:

  • Call the member-services number on your insurance card

  • Use the provider-search website listed on the card

  • Search for IVTherapy2go

  • Confirm mobile or home-infusion participation

  • Confirm the treating medical professional

  • Verify the pharmacy or medication supplier

  • Ask whether site-of-care restrictions apply

Provide the employer name, plan name, member identification number, prescribed medication, requested service, and treatment location when confirming participation.

Are Referrals or Prescriptions Required?

Infusion therapy generally requires an order or prescription from a qualified medical professional. Depending on the plan and treatment, a referral may also be required.

The order should include the medication or infusion, dosage, frequency, treatment duration, diagnosis, and any monitoring instructions.

Contact the plan administrator before treatment to confirm the current prescription, referral, authorization, and medical-documentation requirements.

How Should I Prepare for My Mobile Infusion?

Before your appointment, prepare:

  • Your Pyramid Global Hospitality insurance card

  • A photo identification card

  • The infusion order or prescription

  • Any authorization or referral documents

  • A current medication list

  • Known medication or food allergies

  • Relevant medical records

  • Recent laboratory results

  • Your ordering provider’s information

  • Your preferred pharmacy information

  • Your benefit-verification reference number

Drink fluids and eat as directed by your medical professional. Wear comfortable clothing that allows access to your arm.

Provide a clean, quiet, and well-lit area where the medical professional can safely complete the treatment. Secure pets before the medical team arrives.

Claims Information for Providers

Providers should use the current Pyramid Global Hospitality insurance card to confirm claim-submission instructions.

Verify the following before submitting a claim:

  • Electronic payer identification number

  • Claims mailing address

  • Member eligibility

  • Plan name and group number

  • Infusion and medication benefits

  • Provider-network participation

  • Prior-authorization requirements

  • Site-of-care requirements

  • Timely filing limits

Claims information can differ between UnitedHealthcare, Surest, and other plans. Providers should not use claim information associated with another plan year, employee group, or employer.
